Welcome to the Robolights Web site and home of the Smart Socket ® and Smart Clamp ® products.

The Smart Socket is an electrical socket outlet enclosure designed specifically for use on stage lighting bars (often referred to as Internally Wired Bars or IWB's). The Smart Socket is injection moulded using tough, durable ABS. Stage lighting equipment and stage electrics often uses the 15A BS546 round pin or the 16A BS EN 60309 connectors and the Smart Socket is designed to accommodate either type. The Smart Socket can also be fitted with a UK standard 13A BS1363 (rectangular pin) socket, or be supplied with a blank lid to accept other popular connectors such as IEC, Schuko or Socapex types. Audio connectors for loudspeakers and microphones or connectors for DMX512 lighting control can also be fitted in the Smart Socket giving a neat and tidy appearance to any stage installation in a Theatre, School, Night Club or other entertainment venue.

The innovative Smart Clamp replaces the conventional hook clamp used to hang equipment from lighting bars. It allows stage lighting lanterns to be easily rigged onto lighting bars and locked in place without the use of any tools or any additional nuts or bolts. The Smart Clamp fits both 48mm bar and 50mm truss and self closes itself around the bar using it's Patented action. Hand tightening the lock knob locks the lantern in place and grips the bar or truss at the same time in one simple action.
